A DEVASTATIN' BACKSTROKE

I'm sure that somewhere in Monte Carlo, there are celebrities on yachts and they think, "man I wonder what the po' folk are doing?"

Well, this is pretty much what we're doing:

Sometimes you kick back and take in an extra episode of Thomas the Train on a Saturday morning:



Sometimes Mama and Matty decide to turn the backyard into a quasi-Schlitterbahn and invite friends over to play in multiple pools and on various water features. But it require thorough testing prior to friends arriving:



E. Haynes and I sat on the back porch on Saturday afternoon, watching, monitoring. The girls and IV were playing, splashing, taking turns on the Y-bike, having a ball. The weather was gorgeous.

"You know, when you're pregnant people tend to tell you that 'your life is over' and that 'you'd better prepared yourself for big changes'" I recalled.

"But I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing than sitting right here, doing just this."
