My resolutions for the new year:
1. Take better care of my hands (sound familiar, circa 2011)
2. Remove my makeup at night and wash face in the morning.
3. When someone is talking to me, I will give them my full attention.
A while back, there was a person in my life (think we all know who), and this person took pride in multitasking. But to a point where this person would text or answer email for the duration of a meal, leading me to wonder why in the h-e-double hockey sticks you even came in the first place.
This bad habit wore off on me a little, especially at work when someone comes into my office. I am answering emails, typing, texting, etc. when, really? I can't stop for a second and look them in the eye and give them my attention?
I can. And I will.
I made a list of things I wanted to do with the house and kept my mom's advice at heart: one day at a time. It's hard. I want it all to be perfect for IV, I want to have a backyard I can be proud of, I want art on all my walls, I want, I want, I wish.
One day at a time. Right?
