Things I will miss (dearly):
"Date Night" runs on the Seawall followed by dinner-crazy-kids-house-salad-spaghettiandmeatballs-gluten-free-pizza-fountain-coins-gelato-bottleofwine...
Rotating closets of clothes - but more importantly, getting compliments and being able to say "it belongs to my Haynes!"
Hot rollers. Everywhere. No boundaries.
Hey Tell and late night giggle-fests over a glass of wine
Complete trust caring for each other's children
Champagne and backyard lawnchairs while kids nap? Sure!
Crossing that miserable, freezing cold, wet finish line at the Mardi Gras Half Marathon
Sometimes you just gotta get out of the house. And go to Baybrook Mall and live dangerously with toddlers and escalators.
Or go to Marble Slab and roll the windows down so that the rushing wind drowns out the crazy people in the backseat...er, I mean our children.
Junior League meetings will never be as much fun. Or involve as much laughter. Barefoot in the muck sand at East Beach, drawing on the tables at the Alvin Senior Center, taking Gus the Bus to Kemah, just to name a few.
But most of all? I will miss having a heart friend who is always there for me with advice, a shoulder, an ear, and a glass of wine.
Cheers to Haynes and the Next Chapter of our Friendship - Corpus Christi will never be the same!
