WELCOME TO MIAMI

I had a lengthy discussion today with my Chicken Expert, Dr. Thomas.

Subject: Why Won't These Damned Chickens Lay Any Eggs?

My ladies have always been good layers...typically one a day, like clockwork. Even Gladys. They eat, poop, drink, nest, scratch, take dirt baths and, well, act like typical healthy chickens.

Now they're doing everything BUT LAYING EGGS.

Note to Ladies: this is NOT a chicken retirement home.

Dr. Thomas thinks that it's just too hot - chickens are very fincky about water, it has to be cold. Or they won't drink. And they have to drink water to lay eggs.

The solution? Ice. In their Water Dispenser.

So here I am, because I have NOTHING better to do than refresh the cocktails of my CHICKENS, filling their water bucket with ice.

But...I haven't had eggs in two weeks. Drastic times call for drastic measures, folks.

It was that or install a misting system.
