SPEAKING UP

You've never known me as one to be quiet.

People have always watched me. And perhaps now a little more keenly. And that shushed me for a bit.

In a time when we are all so overcome with emotion, I felt the need to speak up and renew my commitment to writing and releasing all these thoughts and putting a little love out into the world.

There is a balance to life, an ebb and a flow and sometimes the stones turn and sometime they smack you upside the head and tell you "yes" and sometimes "no."

Like my dear friend Sarah once told me, just "no" - no explanation, sometimes it's just "no."

Trees don't have to be perfectly decorate sometimes. The bottom 2 - 3 feet is more than enough:

I saw this in the hallway at IV's school...and part of me shined with pride because it was just me and him beside our tree. And part of my heart broke because it was just me and him beside our tree.

"Do you see the smoke, mama?" he asked. "Yes, slightly warm donuts are probably the best kind" I answered.  We should ask Haynes for verification.

Who's to say? No one. The heart knows no boundaries.

May we be defined by the love we put forth into this world.
